The world of politics is as complicated as it is fascinating, but how is someone expected to keep up with everything? Every news organization, journalist, and political activist has their own opinion on the various matters of the day. It takes time and effort to stay informed on all of these issues, and if you are like most people, you simply do not care enough to put in that extra effort. There is a special kind of crazy person however, who loves to do this kind of political research and thrives on being in the know on every political issue and process. I like to consider myself a part of that slightly insane group of people.
The point of this page is to facilitate the spreading of political knowledge while allowing the average person to save time on the research; I’ll do it for you.
If you ask me a sincere question (not just one inciting an emotional response), I will do my best to answer the question providing facts from both sides of the issue (if applicable), then insert my personal viewpoint. The point is not to convert people to my way of thinking, but to allow those who would other wise be uninformed, a chance to be in the know on some of the most important issues of our day.
Example questions include:
- What is pork barrel spending and why do we care?
- What’s the deal with Obamacare?
- Do you think race will play a role in the upcoming election?
To ask a question simply send and email to askPPLvI@gmail.com . I will then get to answering your question as soon as possible and, with your permission, will post the response to the blog for others to learn from.
I look forward to fielding your questions.
